  • Electrical upgrade and wiring

    An electric water heater requires a dedicated power supply. This means additional wiring will need to be installed to handle the extra electrical load. A new cable will be connected to your existing switchboard and meter, ensuring the system runs reliably and safely. We coordinate this work with a licensed electrician, so everything is taken care of on the day of installation.

  • Gas disconnection and safety

    If your gas hot water system is your last remaining gas appliance, your property’s gas network connection must be professionally capped off by a registered gasfitter. We arrange this as part of our service. If you still have other gas appliances in your home, we’ll simply isolate and safely disconnect the supply to your gas hot water system while leaving your other gas appliances unaffected.

  • Electric hot water system installation

    On the day, we will remove your existing gas water heating system and install the new electric water heating system, connecting to your home’s plumbing and electrical setup. All fittings, valves, and pipework are checked to meet safety and compliance standards.

  • Timeframe and convenience

    In most cases, the full hot water system changeover from gas to electric can be completed within a single day. This minimises disruption to your household and means you’re not left without hot water overnight. We’ll confirm the expected timeframe with you during our initial site visit.
